Considering a speaker who repeated the phrase "one hundred thousand million angels!" about 7 times in a recent public talk at the Kingdom Hall we visited... I don't put much stock in the numbers the dubs use. I don't think they are very good at math.

"Faithful and Discreet Servant" Changes in RNWT (Matt 24)

i see the wts has now removed the reference to jesus' rendering punishment of death by sword, when the master returns and finds the evil servant abusing the other slaves; they've sanitized the reading of matt 24:51 as this:.

51 "and he will punish him with the greatest severity and will assign him his place with the hypocrites.

there is where his weeping and the gnashing of his teeth will be.".

Don't the brackets indicate words that have been added or changed? Removal of the brackets, does not allow the reader to know which words were added vs. Words that were supposedly already there.

When you look at the Greek text, and realize that they changed the words, then removed the brackets that show you where they made a change, it is interesting to note. They love to bicker over articles and personal pronouns, to try to prove their point. This is just one of many inaccuracies. It's a straw.

Do they use this verse to dispute the existence of eternal punishment?

Changing the wording from "the gnashing of teeth," to "his gnashing of teeth," does change the meaning.

Let the reader use discernment. Removal of the brackets is a change. A big enough change? Let the reader use discernment.

Smoke and mirrors. Very effective technique, building excitement by choreographing the meetings into crowded rooms.

Personally, I have found the light getting brighter and brighter, as the truth is exposed.

I am looking at the Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures, 1969 (purple) edition.

The Greek words read:

and he will cut asunder him and the part of him with the hypocrites he will place; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.

the translation next to it reads:

and will punish him with the greatest severity and will assign him his part with the hypocites. There is where [his] weeping and the gnashing of [his] teeth will be.

Where can I find the terms of use for this app? do they exist, or do we just blindly trust everything that is available on iTunes? I've had to uninstall apps that have turned out to contain "features" that I did not know they had, and would really like to review exactly what it in this app before I put it on the device I use for personal and financial matters.

Internet VS WTS

ok here is another spin on the wt verses the internet argument, and this time i'm going to be pro-wt.

i have read articles and seen graphs that show in countries that have high internet penetration, growth rates diminish.

this is used to support the idea that the information age is killing the wt.

Ok Jeffro, if you say so... You're using much bigger words than I am, so you must know. My husband is a programmer, but he has never done any programming in this environment yet. I am the first to admit that I have a lot to learn. I hope I am wrong.

I still don't think you can be too careful.

I would highly recommend reading the user agreement in its entirety, unless it comes from a source you can trust. The devil is in the details and in the fine print.
